The Fire Station happens to be located nearly directly behind our house... (not enough to ever here it... just see it and no houses behind our house... just an open field and then the fire station). So it was fun to go to the open house. The huge it was the ride in the fire truck. Jarom got to ride in the front passenger seat...

Driving right by our house.. (he is pointing at it) and Jarom was blowing the horn and all... so cool! The neighborhood kids were a bit surprised.

Oh how Jarom LOVES soccer... loves it with a passion! He seems to breath it... He thrives when he can play. This fall he was often sick with stomach aches (no idea why) but still played his heart out. Proud of that kid!

We have lived here and couple years and have visited and lived in Utah much of our lives but have never been to Antelope Island. Which just so happens to be a few miles from our house. We had such a great time. We also had a great time with my cousin July and her girls who joined us.

Brown Family Reunion

The beginning of August... to be exact August 6th (my birthday) my husband was sweet enough to take care of all so I could leave for the weekend. My aunt Sandy and I traveled to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to go to the Brown reunion. What a great time we had... lots of walks, photos, beautiful landscapes, laughter, yummy food and what a break for me! I loved it! The reunion was great... I also go to visit my grandpa who happened to just have had open heart surgery and was in the hospital.

Arise

Arise Youth Spectacular... was an event this past Saturday that I was very grateful to be able to attend. My youngest sister Naomi worked hard for months practicing to preform in this amazing event. It was held at the Weber State football stadium and was the largest group of people to ever gather there. There was 3500 youth preforming in this event... I am so proud of my sister Naomi

Camping in the Uintahs

Last weekend we did our first official camping trip as a family! We went to the Uintahs near Mirror Lake (we went to Trail Lake). We are loved it! Jarom tried to catch a fish.. We enjoyed cooking all our food over the fire.. the eggs and bacon turned out awesome. The kids all really enjoyed themselves. Especially chasing the birds and squirrels... and adding wood to the fire. The down fall of the trip would had to have been the horrible swarms of mosquitoes. I have never used so much bug spray or stood in the smoke of a fire to keep the bugs away. Our sleep was interrupted by Elijah multiple times.. I`m sleeping on a rock... I need to go pee... and finally in the morning I`m throwing up.

After we packed up from camping we went to Provo falls. The boys really enjoyed it. Sariah had one of her emotional fits and I took a bad fall... so we didn't stay long.

Once we left there we headed to Evanston, Wy. My aunt Sandy was hosting our family reunion. I think I was just in too much pain from my fall. I never pulled out my camera. It overall was a great weekend!

A week after Sariah's birthday she got a party... she understood this year and wanted a party for her! Love it when they are old enough to understand what is happening and get excited. She didn't want a cake she wanted pink cupcakes! We enjoyed a few family members over, yummy cupcakes and lots of water fun!

Happy Birthday to our sweet Sariah! Oh how we all adore our "princess" Sariah... and oh how she knows that. She is becoming quite the girl... changes her clothes 10 times a day... everything is drama and emotion. Guess she is normal! Two days prior to her birthday Korey had brought me flowers for our anniversary (day early) and she thought they were for her... so on her birthday Korey brought her home a pink rose. Oh how thrilled she was! She definitely is daddy's princess!

She really wanted a bike for her birthday and a pink one! She was thrilled to get one... It is a bit big but the next size down was just too small for how tall she is.

The following night we went back to Korey's parents. We enjoyed more yummy food... as well as more fireworks. The boys really enjoyed being with their cousins Kimbre and Kylee. The faces of Elijah in these photos I loved so much I had to add all three. Over the course of 3 days I took hundreds of photos... hard to pick just a few to share. We all definitely enjoyed celebrating the 4th of July! My favorite part my have been Korey having a 3 day weekend and taking me shopping Monday in Park City and spoiling me... but really I loved spending so much time with all of our familes.

The 4th of July evening we enjoyed spending it in Evanston, Wy at my aunt Sandy's. Yummy food... terrific family... incredible fireworks! Such good memories for my kids. They are already talking about next year. Jarom especially loved it I think because it was the first year he was allowed to light up any fireworks.

4th of July weekend was a whirl wind... it started a block away from our house with out local parade. We all enjoyed it... but dang it was cold. LOL Seriously..

Our 10th Anniversary!

Yesterday we celebrated our 10th Anniversary! We have spent 10 amazing years together... the ups, downs, excitement, heart breaks, children, 17 plus moves, family and pure joy together! Yesterday I rode the front runner to Salt Lake. Korey got off work early and picked me up. We spent the afternoon together remember and talking about the years. Especially what we were doing 10 years ago. We spent a good part of our time at the place where it all began. The Salt Lake Temple! We took out our endowments and got sealed for time and eternity on July 1st 2000! Yesterday we did a session at the SL temple. We were honored to be asked to be the witness couple. After our session it was very exciting to have a gentleman give us a private tour of a part of the temple. Talking and showing us the painting that was painted but never finished for the 100 year celebration of the temple... showing us Wilford Woodruff's area of the temple of which he lived and other special things. It was absolutely incredible. The temple as well as Korey mean even more to me now. Afterwards we enjoyed a nice dinner and some shopping! It was an amazing day together. I felt like my husbands girlfriend all day! Loved it... Loved falling even more in love with him. Looking forward to the next 10 years and forever with him.

Korey and I went away on a couple day adventure to parts of Southern Utah. We absolutely loved it... but boy did I come home sore...

We loved Bryce... neither one of us had hiked down inside... now that was fun. We defiantly plan to do it again.

The next day we went to Escalate and hiked in Peek-a-boo and spooky what an adventure that was.

Summer can now begin!
The boys have truly loved school this year. Neither one of them missed a day!
Jarom finished up 3rd grade. Even with a change in teacher mid year he has loved the school year!
When he got in the car on the last day ... he said, "mom I sure am going to miss my teacher... I love her. - she is the best teacher I have ever had." (he has had 7 teachers since K)
He has learned so much this year and defintily gained more confidence in himself and in his abilities.

Elijah has had a great teacher as well. Kindergarten was deifnitly a learning and growing year for him. I hardly can believe he starts 1st grade this fall.

Now that school is out we are really looking forward to what fun we can have this summer. As well as seeing what learning we can do along the way...We have created a "bucket list" and keep adding to it daily of things that we want to do by the end of the summer.

Memorial Day -Korey, Jarom and I went on a good hike. We went to Ogden WaterFall Canyon ... What a hike it was for me. Jarom on the other hand just ran up the mountain and had a great time. Look forward to taking this hike again real soon.

Jarom absolutly LOVES soccer! It doesn't matter how hot or cold - rain or shine he plays his heart out. He played in all weather conditions this spring and loved every minute of it. He really has improved over the years and defintily has good sportsmanship. He makes us all proud!

What a cold Easter Saturday morning we had ... the Easter egg hunt was almost too cold for the kiddos. Sariah between being scared of the Easter bunny and cold was in tears.

Catching up on blogging again... and once again only a couple photos were taken. Most of them on my camera were taken of other people. Elijah began Piano this month. Definitely a challenge for him... with his CP he has limited isolated movement in several of his fingers on his left hand. Which has made piano not easy. But he has dedicated himself to practicing a lot. After a month he has made great improvements and isn't complaining about his left hand nearly as much. We are so proud of him! Elijah also had another event this month. Upon helping him brush his teeth one day we noticed that his permanent teeth - two of them... were grown in behind his bottom baby teeth. So we made a quick trip to the dentist and quickly they removed the baby teeth. Not a fun experience for him. Early in the month the boys enjoyed a dads and donuts morning at school with dad. Jarom started spring soccer this month. It truly is a passion for him. He loves it and is definitely getting better every season. We made a couple trips to Coalville this month and the boys enjoyed riding the horse Tom.. even in the cold weather.

Another month fly by and no blogging... and barely any pictures taken... Mom got to enjoy glasses at a local Kitchen store every Sat all month as well as going to a Time Out For Women event with her sister Hannah and aunt Sandy. A busy but calm February. January 2010 brought in a peaceful overall quiet month. We enjoyed some of our normal stuff... mom's PTA meetings and stuff at the school, cooking group and relief society meeting. The boys enjoyed a primary breakfast with their new teachers, several days of no school, SEP conferences a time for mom and them to meet with their teachers and see how great they are both doing at school and they both enjoyed cousin Caleb's birthday party at Chuck e Cheese. Jarom spend some of his spare time preparing his "Black Widow" car for the Pinewood Derby. He overall did wonderful. In several of the heats he came in first... but in the final race (after racing about 10 times he came in 3rd. We are very proud of him. He also received his Wolf badge that night at scouts.

Christmas 2009

What a wonderful Christmas we had... We enjoyed the early morning with three excited kids. (except I truly believe I was more excited... I kept waking up all night and could not sleep... ) We went to my moms for a bit and then made it home by noon to fix a Christmas dinner. Korey's parents drove up to enjoy dinner with us. The afternoon/evening some friends and family stopped by to visit. Enjoy some of our pictures of our morning. Some of them are traditional photos I take every year such as the one below and the ones with the kids and their gifts.

The boys really wanted a Wii... especailly Jarom. So Korey thought it would be neat to have Sariah get it and unwrap it....

We drove to Coalville and enjoyed our Christmas Eve there... Games... Sleigh Ride... snow... yummy food... fun gifts and good comapny! We came home by 9PM so that the kiddos could be snug in there beds for Santa Claus to come...

Trip to Lewiston Idaho... Thanksgiving!

Over the Thanksgiving holiday we traveled up to Lewiston Idaho to spend time with my grandparents... my dad... 2 of my sisters and some other family! The kids overall did well on the trip... lots of driving... Sariah only threw up once which was nice.

The boys loved loved helping my dad at the frame shop... he was great in letting them help him. As well as letting the make their own frames.. cut the wood, glass, mat etc. They are so proud of their frames. (The above picture is what Elijah plans to put in his frame).

We enjoyed eating Pizza and carving pumpkins. It was nice to have my sister Esther and her boyfriend Craig join us. What a fun night!

Black Island Farms

Oh what fun the Jarom, Elijah, Sariah and I had at Black Island Farms. It was nice that my brother Josh and his wife joined us. No green pumpkin vines... but still lots of pumpkins to choose from...

Enjoying the tractor/hay ride out to the pumpkins... on the way back there was bit of sliding in the mud...

We also loved feeding the goats... We were most amazed by the goat mountain. It was fun to put the feed in the little cup and move it up to the waiting goat.

West Point Elementry's 140th Celebration

The boy's school was celebrating 140 years since the first West Point school. I am on the PTA so I was helping with being in charge of the breakfast. Both the boys were taking part in the 1 mile Fun Run. There was also train rides... bowling... music and bounce houses. Everyone had a great time.

It got a bit difficult for Elijah half way through... so I took his hand and together we finished the race.
I was so proud of both of my boys... especially for Elijah. It was not easy for him... He is one tough kid!
Thanks grandma Judy (Laura's mom) for coming to support the boys... especially when she has worked all night and not had any sleep.

Elijah started baseball right after he got his cast off... so it was a bit difficult. I also had never considered how difficult it would be to get his hand in the glove with his weaker side. But he had a great time and played very well

The "Healing Field"

Yesterday I had the opportunity to go and see the "Healing Field" (if it comes to a city near you I highly recommend you go and see it...) I am so glad I went. It almost felt like the ground was sacred while the flags were there... (5000 flags for those that have lost their lives in the current war) So breath taking... So proud to be an American... and so grateful for all those men and woman who fought for us and sacrificed their lives and for all those that continue to do so.

Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple Open House

Last night Jarom and I enjoyed going to the Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple Open House. My mom, her friend, Naomi, my cousin July and her daughter Maddy also enjoyed coming along. It was so nice to walk through the temple.. especially to take Jarom through. (Korey is out of town with work or he would have been there with us).

July 24th we enjoyed another parade... almost paraded out (just two more to go this year)... My sister Rebecah and her kiddos were there, my brother Josh and his wife Amber, my sister Esther and my mom.

Loved the Haderlie's visiting us

Last week we loved a good visit from our friends the Haderlie's. We knew them in AZ. and hadn't seen them in a long time. Our friends the Flints (who live near us) were also friends with them. So last week we all gathered at my house and had a great time... thoroughly enjoyed good conversation, zip lock bag ice cream, water fights/balloons/hose/pool, bubbles... loved having them here! Wish we could see them more often!

Pioneer Days Rodeo

Monday night I had the opportunity to go to the rodeo with a bunch of friends and family... some of them were - my mom and her sister Maria, my sister's Sarah, Esther, Naomi, Rebecah my cousin July, cousin John & his wife, my sister in-law Amber and others...We all enjoyed ourselves. We started Saturday with the Clinton parade with our friends the Flint's and their kiddos. What a long parade but the kids all had fun collecting a ton of candy.

Then we went down to all the happenings on 25th Street in Ogden where my sister Hannah and her kiddos joined us as well as my sisters Esther and Naomi. We all enjoyed the farmer's market, scones, crepes, robbery re-enactment (that was too brief) and saw the tractor show. Then we went to the Tree House Children's Museum (free day) None of us had been there before and the kiddos all had fun...

Then we went to the Union Station, the Utah State Railroad Museum, John M Browning Firearms Museum and the Kimball Classic Car Museum (happened to be a free day) We all enjoyed looking around.

Finally we joined my cousin July and her girls at my uncle Randy's house to roast marshmallows and make smores.... afterwards we went to watch the Clinton fireworks. What a great Saturday.

The boys have been gone to Pa and Grandma's (Korey's parents) since Monday. Sariah and I were very excited to see them. Being a very hot day we decided to go and cool off at the local splash pad... (we had never been there before). My sister in-law Amber joined us along with my sister Sarah and my sister Hannah and her two kiddos. We all had a great time!

Sariah has been extremely difficult the past two weeks to nap or even go to bed at night. I know she is not ready to give up naps... just doesn't want to miss out on anything... today after no nap this happened... sound asleep.

Sariah had her 2 year check up on Fri. She is healthy as can be tall and lean. 95% in her height and 20% in her weight.

Today the kiddos and I enjoyed the Aquatic Center with my sister in-law Amber and my two sisters Sarah and Naomi. (I wasn't thrilled with the pictures - I gave in and just brought my point and shoot) ... We all had a great time.

Oh how nervous Jarom was to try out this slide then he loved it.....
I was soooo proud of my two boys that went down it together... but Elijah got a bit too wet and scared but still wanted to go down it again... so I ended up going with him a few times.
